Mr. Phillip Adams is a married man...

"Mr. Phillip Adams is a married man?" You might ask. Well I'm currently watching "Indiscreet" the 1958 Hitchcock drama starring Ingrid Bergman and Carry Grant...both of whom I am currently obsessed with.
I love both of them in any movie. They are just too fun to watch. Both have extravagant accents (of which I am jealous) and are extremely talented.
I seriously wish I was Ingrid. To the point where I have recently been telling friends I wish I were. I think I could have played college basketball, maybe even had kicked some ass in the WNBA (if I so desired) if I were a 5'9" swede. Also, she was a talented piano player, gorgeous and scandalous. I would love to just have scandal all around and totally piss everyone off only to end up in my favorite city (hers was London) in a nice flat. Sure. That sounds fun.
Cary Grant? Don't even get me started. The man could have been my great-grandfather and yet I still have a girl boner for him. That's right I said it. Girl boner...I'm here get used to it.

The two of them together...well forget about it. I'll just be in the other room watching, anyone can join as long as they shut up or revel in a boggy discussion about how great the Hitchcock/Bergman/Grant chemistry was. Notorious is my favorite.

I also have found a love for Gregory Peck. He was another fine looking gentleman who could have been my great-grandfather. Too bad my Gran wasn't a slut...I mean she was a total bad ass, but not a slut. She could have macked on some serious hotties. I don't know what they called "hotties" back then...Studs? Husbands? Someone else's husband? STARS?!

I think I just have a thing for people who have accents. I love Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant (best combo with them...hands down..."Bringing Up Baby;" No other movie has two people saying "leopard" in such a fashion.), Ingrid Bergman, Anne Bancroft (you have to love the Bronx bad ass), Terry Garr (In "Young Frankenstein"), Mel Brooks (Jewish. lol.), Gregory Peck among so many others.

A great thing that Ingrid brings with her, her daughter Isabella Rossellini. You might know her from her face in the 1980s. She has done spots in movies and television (most recently 30 Rock) but NOW she has a site on Sundancechannel.com, it's called "Green Porno." I suggest anyone try it out. HILARIOUS and Educational. My favorite is the Bees. She has to dance. It's pretty great. here's the link http://www.sundancechannel.com/greenporno/

Well this has been quite productive wouldn't you say? I'm going to go back to the rest of the movie. I may start to blog more often. If I can write during nap time (I'm babysitting while I try and get into Grad school)...it would be BANGIN'

Tune into the green porno, and also check out classic movies (esp. Hitchcock) if you haven't!

Olly Girls

Okay,
So I want to know why we care so much about the Olly Girls?! I caught them on Chelsea Lately (of which I am an avid fan) and they are probably on a level playing field with Forrest Gump. Granted, they have way better tits...but that's not Forrest's fault.
Apparently they were fired from their "job" at Sunset Tan. Then they claim to have tried "everything" to find work.
I don't think they understand what "everything," a "job," and "work" really are. I mean laying out and having sushi eaten off of you; yes, it's probably someone's job (for whatever reason) but it's not a job like working fast food to make ends meat.

They are among a lot of reality "stars" who I feel should be sent out to do some real work, for a change and not for the money their parents or the networks have given them.

For instance...why not send the Olly Girls to Darfur? I mean, we all know they have no idea it even exists, let alone what's going on there.
You want to see a real reality show...there it is.
Granted, they'd probably show up and be jealous that everyone is tanner than they, or want to know what diet keeps everyone so skinny. But let them find out why.
They can throw as many parties as they want there.

I guess it wouln't be a good idea though... I mean why create more pain for Darfur? How about sending them to New Orleans instead. They can do some Americorp work.
They can realize that even in the United States, not having a job, could be a hell of a lot worse than cleaning Paulie Shore's bathroom or being "guacamole girls."

Another thing I think should be done is SEPARATE THEM.
They are at the point where they can't distinguish themselves. Everything is "we," "us," and "Olly Girls," I don't think they know that they are two people (maybe with the brain capacity of one small cat, but still).

I understand that I know a lot about them right now. It's frustrating, considering I've been trying to keep up with other things that are more important, like reading, music, art, being able to change my own clothes, but I just see this crap everywhere!

We need to stop buying into the reality television! Producers are just going to keep on making this shit because it's A) being watched, B) CHEAP $$, C) only creates more publication of their networks through other forms of mass media.

So maybe turn off the TV, or flip to Jon Stewart or something! I mean I love Chelsea Lately (I mean it's an unhealthy addiction at this point), but I'm so sick of the 23 hours and 30 mins before and after her show of celebrity "news" and tabloid quality entertainment.

Hopefully the Olly Girls will help reality television crumble, with their groundbreaking material and sharp intellect.

Good luck girls, and don't forget to look both ways before you cross the street. --No the street, the big black thing.--no, no, not that big black thing.--where the cars are.--no, cars.--You know what...just jump.
