I had forgotten about the test until a couple days ago when Sarah brought it to my attention. We were talking about how people end up dating personalities they are drawn to and it fell into the convo. I remember taking the test in high school... in Religion class (which Jeff said he did too, so I guess it's a Catholic standard... maybe a way to keep tabs on the Introverted?). In Religion class I cheated and answered so that it wasn't me. I didn't want them to know my actual personality, plus I've known my whole life what I want to do... so they weren't going to tell me to be a teacher or a librarian...
NO WAY JOSE.

(Jose.. hehe)
When I took it last night, I went the high road and didn't cheat... also good to determine that I don't belong in an insane asylum.
I ended up with INFP

Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perception.
They're called the Healers, Feelers and Creative. Haha. They pretty much nailed it on the head.
My type of personality needs jobs where they feel worth while but not in the spotlight. Also are dreamers and search for true value in life.
This whole test freaks me the f- out.
I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. I don't trust standardized testing, but I guess they thought this one through (Also the test would tell me that I don't trust standardized testing, so that's freaking me out right now too.)
Apparently it comes along with some of these things:
creative, smart, idealist, loner, attracted to sad things, disorganized, avoidant, can be overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings, prone to quitting, prone to feelings of loneliness, ambivalent of the rules, solitary, daydreams about people to maintain a sense of closeness, focus on fantasies, acts without planning, low self confidence, emotionally moody, can feel defective, prone to lateness, likes esoteric things, wounded at the core, feels shame, frequently losing things, prone to sadness, prone to dreaming about a rescuer, disorderly, observer, easily distracted, does not like crowds, can act without thinking, private, can feel uncomfortable around others, familiar with the darkside, hermit, more likely to support marijuana legalization, can sabotage self, likes the rain, sometimes can't control fearful thoughts, prone to crying, prone to regret, attracted to the counter culture, can be submissive, prone to feeling discouraged, frequently second guesses self, not punctual, not always prepared, can feel victimized, prone to confusion, prone to irresponsibility, can be pessimistic
Though these are a lot of negatives, the idealist in me sees the positives and I'm not overly concerned. Plus, the first three are the best positives I could possibly want!
This is a list of jobs that are suitable:
poet, painter, freelance artist, musician, writer, art therapist, teacher (art, music, drama), songwriter, art historian, library assistant, composer, work in the perfoming arts, art curator, playwrite, bookseller, cartoonist, video editor, photographer, philosopher, record store owner, digital artist, cinematographer, costume designer, film producer, philosophy professor, librarian, music therapist, enviromentalist, movie director, activist, bookstore owner, filmmaker
Disliked Jobs:
business professional, manager, executive, administrator, business owner, supervisor, office manager, business analyst, financial analyst, public relations manager, ceo, executive assistant, judge, event coordinator, lawyer, office worker
So a site also gave me various people who are also INFP's
Audrey Hepburn

Hans Christian Andersen

Helen Keller (Food Scene don't watch Mom!)

JFK

William Shakespeare (Though I don't know how reliable that is... even seeing it on several pages doesn't convince me that it's precise)

Donna Reed (Bunnies in 30 seconds GENIUS)

James Taylor

(That's my fave James Taylor pic and song... the link is the video of the song)
So I mean 3 of my faves made the list... Audrey, Donna and HELEN KELLER! WOOT!
Every time anything is associated with H. Keller, I LOVE IT.
So here's a shout out to my girl Helen "WA WAHHH!!!!"- The Miracle Worker
REPRESENT!
Okay, so let's see who INFP's are attracted to... is that what you're wondering. Well I don't care what you're wondering, I'm going to tell you anyway (is this where you stop reading?)...
This is what I found:
For the INFP, love is a very deep commitment, and one that is not easily attained. They have ideals, and therefore reality may be carefully scrutinized.
With their ideal firmly envisioned, the first date with that special person is carefully planned and prepared for, and often every aesthetic thing is taken care of. The flowers are in place, the right wine is ordered, and the proper meal is prepared.
INFPs may have difficulty sharing their feelings about others. They keep so many of those feelings inside that they may forget to tell their partner how much they love and appreciate them. They also need reminders of their partner's love.
When things go wrong in a relationship, the INFP takes it to heart but does not readily discuss it with others. They may not be willing to communicate to let others know how they are feeling. When scorned, they are very hurt and may overreact in an almost maudlin way.
This might explain a lot for some of us. Also probably why PDA makes me want to puke... as well as personal stuff makes me blush and retreat into a hole. (insert Troll comment from Jeffrey... as well as a "That's what he said" from Erin)
One of the sites also said that INFP's can put on a "ESTJ business suit" that's right... we're shape shifters, watch your back.
For anyone who watches True Blood, I don't mean warewolf style, I'm just being silly.
ESTJ's are Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking and Judging. THE DIRECT OPPOSITE of INFP's.
Apparently our creativity and introvertedness is not to be trusted. Lol.
So far my birthday forecast (from the birthday book), horoscope, and Myers Brigg have been right on. I'm trying not to buy into everything, but if it's right... what the f!?
Also... shout out to Mr. Krasnanski (aka crap nasty) from high school... sorry Carol was hitting me with a water bottle even when you said I had a bubble around me.
