Germs

I am not feeling well. Neither is Julia... but we both have good attitudes about it, so hopefully the boogies will blow over... into a tissue.

I'm not taking Mucinex, since the muci-incident of '07 when Allison and I each drank like 2 beers and blacked out because the Mucinex had completely dehydrated our bodies... it was the weirdest thing ever. Don't remember a thing. Luckily, we both were sick so our true desires were to go to sleep... but it did make up the catch phrase "The Muci made me do it" (pronouced "mew-see").

Today is gorgeous, so hopefully when Julia gets up we'll play outside and get some serious vitamins from the sun.

Hopefully the sun and some vitamins and rest will blow all the germs away. This brings me to my next visual... The Germ.
It is a video I did about 2 years ago about a little germ who just wants to have fun... enjoy.

Tonight I will venture to Easton so I can vote A.S.A.P. tomorrow morning. I can't wait to VOTE!!!

I love the fact that I can vote.
I know a lot of people who say they don't feel like their votes matter, well, they do.
Think about countries who don't let their people vote. Think about people who are treated as second class citizens and have no say on how their lives may end up or what is going to happen in politics. Anyone can be president in this country. Sure, you have to work to make the millions of dollars to campaign, but you can do it. You have the option. You just have to know it a while ahead of time. Like anything else, it takes the work and effort.
I like that I was born in a time when women are allowed to vote. I can't imagine the frustration that the suffragettes had to endure. I love reading about their stories because it motivates me to do whatever I want, at whatever costs.
I'd like to now look at a British Suffragette, Ms. Emily Davison.
She was a CRAZY LADY. I mean, seriously nuts.
She threw herself down 3 flights of stairs, only to be saved by an awning. She went on multiple hunger strikes and worked arduously for women's votes.
She met her demise in 1913, when she threw herself under the king's horse at a race, attempting to put the flag of the WSPU on the horse.

Here is a link to a summary on wikipedia... granted not the most reliable source, but the funniest write up on the situation...

And here is a video of the race...
(Keep in mind it's from 1913)

(The music is funny... but it is a crazy, serious message of dedication)

Okay, the child summons.
until later.
:)
